Program Officer at DIA

USAID Youth-Powered Ecosystem to Advance Urban Adolescent Health (YPE4AH) is a five-year award (May 2020–May 2025) financed by USAID. DAI, the Nigerian government, YEDI, WFI, YBR, and GRS are implementing it in Lagos and Kano. Out-of-school adolescents in Lagos and Kano slums will benefit from the scheme. Youth Hubs will create a safe environment for sexual and reproductive health and rights information and referrals. The program will also help young Nigerians rethink their futures and get the skills, social capital, and resources they need to succeed.

Requirements For Program Officer at DIA

  • a social sciences or associated field bachelor’s degree
  • Experience working professionally for at least five years on a project supported by the US government is preferable and is a bonus.
  • Experience in project management that has been proven, including creating budgets, organizing events, and coordinating several partners and stakeholders.
  • demonstrated an aptitude for and practical knowledge of producing technical reports
  • excellent communication abilities both in writing and speaking; fluency in English is required
  • Strong organizational abilities and exceptional attention to detail
  • strong capacity for critical thought, inventiveness, and problem-solving
  • Ability to function in a team atmosphere that has been demonstrated
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency is essential.
  • Fluency in the local language will be a bonus.
  • Recognize the sensitivity and adaptability of the states (Lagos or Kano) in terms of culture, gender, religion, race, nationality, and age.
